Energy Epidemiology approaches the task of modelling in either bottom-up or top-down manner. This PhD thesis shows that, if carried out properly, both ways lead to similar results.
The figure below illustrates an example where results obtained using bottom-up modelling (purple area) overlap with a top-down model output (shown in blue).
